Upgrading our pantry door to a wood French door from @peasedoors was the first step but this wall in our kitchen still seemed off and boring to me. We planked the wall with primed pine shiplap from @loweshomeimprovement , built a little ledge, and added some shaker pegs from Amazon. I’m all for functional decor and love that I can display some of my antique/thrift store finds.

Paint color: French Gray by Farrow and Ball (matched by Sherwin Williams).

Valentine’s Day is just over a month away. Time to practice this heart shaped sourdough scoring ♥️

A couple tips:
♥️ Soak your cooking twine in a bit of oil so it doesn’t leave threads on your bread
♥️ Move the strings slightly to fully connect your heart cuts. Then gently place them back into place. If the cuts are not fully connected the shape won’t turn out well.

We custom built this pantry for under $1500 using ready to assemble cabinets, butcher block counters, shiplap, and custom made the shelves.

I brought my pantry dimensions to the cabinet counter at @loweshomeimprovement and we were able to create a design that fit both my vision and budget. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
