Description
French yogurt cake, also known as “gâteau au yaourt,” is a simple and popular dessert in France. It is moist, light, and tasty. It is great served alongside coffee, with fruit, or even as a birthday cake.

- 1/2 cup (110g) yogurt (regular or greek)
- 1 1/2 cup (180g) einkorn flour (or all purpose)
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup melted ghee (or another flavorless oil)
- 1/2 cup (120g) organic cane sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Wipe a 9×5″ bread pan with butter, ghee, or use cooking spray
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, eggs, and sugar until well blended.
- Stir in the flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla.
- Stir in ghee (make sure it is warmed enough to be liquidy)
- Mix until smooth
- Pour the batter into the bread pan and bake for 40-45 min.
- Allow to cool for at least 10 min before slicing.
