This Easy Make-Ahead French Toast Casserole recipe is prepared entirely the night before and all you have to do in the morning is pop it in the oven for about 30 minutes. By soaking the bread overnight in the mixture, this recipe comes out so soft on the inside with slight crispy top.

- The night before: Dice the bread into approximately 1 inch pieces.
- Lightly butter or grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Add the bread pieces to the dish forming a nice even layer.
- Add to a mixing bowl: the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix well.
- Slowly pour the mixture into the 9×13 baking dish over the bread.
- Stir well to thoroughly coat all the pieces completely.
- Optional: sprinkle the top with some more cinnamon.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Uncover the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
- Serve topped with butter and maple syrup, whipped cream, powdered sugar, or fresh berries.
