When I found this coffee table on Facebook Marketplace for only $20 I immediately messaged the seller and scheduled a pick up for later that day.

First, I painted on a thick layer of Citristrip, covered with saran wrap and let it sit for about an hour before scraping. This takes a while and a wire brush is a must for the crevices of the legs.

By trial and error, I came to a mixture of Behr clear wax, Behr dark wax, and Annie Sloan French Linen chalk paint that gave a tone that I liked. I mixed the 3 in equal parts on a paper plate with a popsicle stick and began applying by buffing it on with a microfiber cloth. I wiped it in the same direction as the wood grain. I really worked it into the wood and did not apply a thick coat or let it sit before wiping the excess. I knew I wanted just a subtle color tint so I did not follow the wax instructions and I just did my own thing.
