Hi! I am Ashley and I live in the state of Illinois with my husband and our 4 children. We have 3 sons and 1 daughter. My husband and I met while he was in the military and we got married 3 months later! Everyone thought we were crazy but it’s now been over 15 years. We spent a couple of years stationed in California and my husband swore he’d never move back to Illinois but here we are. It’s where we grew up and where pretty much our entire family resides.
We moved into our new construction in the beginning of 2021 and we have been upgrading and customizing it room by room ever since. I have a passion for home decor and creating a beautiful home on a budget. I love to stroll thrift stores, antique shops, and Facebook marketplace looking for good deals and unique finds to add character to our home.
I am a woman of many hobbies and interests. Health, fitness, and nutrition are a few of those interests. When I had our first son, I began label reading and was completely shocked by the ingredients. All of my recipes are from scratch and use the healthiest alternatives that I can think of at the time.
Gardening is another hobby of mine. At the moment we have 4 3×6 raised beds and I get a lot of enjoyment growing our own food and tending it.
